IPv6 and New Server ListSupernuker on Sunday 06 June 2010 - 16:42:29 | Update (Jun 7th, 14:43): We have also added a US only round robin, irc.us.voltfire.net. After just over three months of testing, VoltFire has now officially added support for IPv6. While we hoped to have at least two servers with ipv6 support when we announced this, only one of our servers is ipv6 ready. There are plans for at least one more of our servers to have ipv6 support in the near future, so stay tuned. You can connect to VoltFire using ipv6 by using our ipv6 round robin, ipv6.voltfire.net or by connecting to one of the ipv6 servers directly on our server page. Which brings us to the second bit of news, the Server List page has been completely re-designed and updated with a new look. We think it presents the information in a much clearer and organized way. We hope you like it as much as we do. IPv6 TestSupernuker on Sunday 28 February 2010 - 17:17:40 | Update (Jun 6th, 13:38): The testing has been completed and ipv6 has been added officially. (Click here for the news post)The VoltFire Network has recently gained the ability to support ipv6. However, because we have not been able to thoroughly test ipv6 compatibility within the network, or with our services, we do not wish to blindly add support for ipv6 yet. Instead of just ignoring IPv6 however, we have added a public test server at for users to connect using ipv6 and help test out everything. While we aren't officially supporting ipv6, our early tests show no known bugs or issues with it. If your willing to connect and help test ipv6 compatibility on the network, then please connect to ipv6test.voltfire.net and report any bugs encountered at http://voltfire.net/cms/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?76. Any questions, comments or anything else that isn't related to a bug should be taken to #ipv6 on the network.
